ABALI YOUTH ELECTION HAS BEEN RIGGED BY CARTEL MEN-COLLINS WORLU WOPARA

ABALI YOUTH ELECTION HAS BEEN RIGGED BY CARTEL MEN-COLLINS WORLU WOPARA

Abali Youth Election was made to take off today 3rd Februrary 2018. From our findings we observed that there's a cartel that is trying to hijack the Abali Youth Election. Agu Chiokwa whose cartel has been causing ripple in the Orogbum community, insisted that the Abali Youth election must hold irrespective of the motion that was served to the community to suspend the election indefinitely. The motion was filed to challenge the procedure of the election and also to stop the election. The person that filed the motion was one Barrister Tonye Wesley. We also learnt that the Police that was made to enforce the motion, went and collected money for the election to hold. One of the Police sources said that the 12hours motion notice served from the court is too short to be able to stop the election.
We also spoke with one of the contestant in the person of Mr Collins Wopara, Mr Collins said  that, Agu Chiokwa, with his cartel are championing the disobedience  of the motion filed to stop the Abali Youth Election. He said that the motion was served by the Rivers State High Court on 1st February 2018 to suspend the election. He said that he was surprised that the election is holding as of now at Abali Chieje Hall, located at CFC bus stop in Port Harcourt. Interestingly, Mr Wopara lamented that the cartel disinfranchised him, by ommitting his name from the ballot paper. Mr Wopara also reiterated that the elders of Orogbum agreed from the begining, that a new registration list should be created in place of the old one and the  old list is fraudulent.
The question now is, if this election that is marred with fraud and descrepancy still holds today, what would be the outcome? Will the result obtained from the illegal election, still be valid? Only time will tell, all we need to do is to keep our fingers crossed, and watch out for the outcome.
