PDP National Chairmanship Aspirants Meet Senate Caucus Behind Closed Door
At the screening, held at the private residence of Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, in Asokoro, the aspirants shared their vision for the party.
The aspirants are also expected to meet with the caucus of the House of Representatives and other organs of the party ahead of the elective convention in December.
In another development, Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja has confirmed issueing a Subpoena compelling former President Goodluck Jonathan to appear in court on Wednesday to testify in defence of a former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh.
The judge confirmed this during the resumed trial of Metuh and his company, Destra Investments Limited, on seven counts of money laundering involving alleged cash transaction of two million dollars.
He is also accused of fraudulently receiving N400 million meant for procurement of arms from the office of the National Security Adviser.
Justice Abang said the Subpoena to compel former President Goodluck Jonathan to appear in court to testify is at the instance of Mr. Metuh.
